A member of ours (Richard Forster) had a large dollop of bad luck when his hard drive crashed and lost all his files. One of the packages he lost was the VA version of FS flight Keeper by Thomas Molitor and Aerosoft. After a quick e-mail from us we received the license info within just half a day. What fantastic support, Thanks Thomas! This is the package we use to file our PIREPs. Click here for more info on FSFK.

The details for the 10th September fly-in is now available. It is a duplicate of one that I few to get to Ikaria on holiday last week. The flight takes us from Athens to Ikaria, it was 40 minutes in the ATR42 that I flew in but will take a little longer for those of us in GA aircraft. Either way I really hope you'll enjoy the flight as much as I did. Click here to view the details and map etc or locate via the menu as normal.

12th August 2006
I've just added the details for this weeks interesting fly-in in Indonesia. There's poor weather, high mountains, VOR's, NDB's, localisers and glideslopes, but most of all there's ATUKv pilots! See it in the normal place or click here to view. See you there (or be square!)

6th August 2006
As we have not been able to transfer the hours from the manual PIREP system to the new one I've added the Total Hours field from the manual PIREP system to the left statistics on our home page.
This way it doesn't look like we're starting from scratch! I have also removed the hubs information from the home page as we're going through some discussions and changes at the moment. Please click here to visit the hub post in our forums for more information.

5th August 2006
This weeks fly-in is from Shoreham to Valley AB. It is basically a practice flight for those who wish to keep current with their basic VOR skills. From next week onwards we're going to be utilising our VOR/NDB skills to navigate and demonstrate our true airmanship in some more difficult parts of the globe. Be prepared! I've also kept it simple this week as it's the first week of our new FSFK PIREP system. Good luck to all! Details are here.

8th August 2006
We're finally back up and running after a massive amount of changes and additions. The main change is the addition of our new FS Flight Keeper automated PIREP system. This enables me to provide much more detailed reporting pages in the members area. You'll also find that there some more detailed statistics on the top left hand side of the home page. I was planning on transferring the existing flight time from the old system to the new one but have hit some bad problems that prohibit me from doing so. Obviously I can't just expect our pilots to start again from scratch so I'm having to keep the two PIREP systems up and running beside one and other. This enables people to continue to use the old system if requred. Due to this unforseen change of plan I've had to restructure the members area and the main menu accordingly. I've also added an Operations Documentation to our site (finally!) containing various topics. I have restructured the Information Centre to coincide with the structure of the Ops Docs. I have made a few changes to the design of the site which I think will take some time to get used to. I'll probably be making some more changes before I'm happy with the new design. There has been a load of changes all over the site so it's quite possible (probable even) that there are some bit's I've missed. I will be going through each and every page looking for errors as time allows so please bear with me for the time being. I have also added a purchase section for purchasing FSFK and Captain Sim products. Please support us and purchase via our site. If we do earn any money this way I'll be asking our members what we should be spending it on. Anyway, I've been working on this now for two days non stop so am going to have a break now...!

30th July 2006
This week's fly-in is a short one from Cork to Cannaught. This is the last fly-in before we change our PIREP system to FS Flight Keeper. Be sure to keep a close eye on the web site on Friday4th August...!

23rd July 2006
Today's fly-in is detailed here. It's the same as the last one but is on our FSHost server so will hopefully be nice and reliable. I look forward to seeing you there!

15th July 2006
This weeks VATSIM fly-in (Sunday 16th July 2006 at 19:00 UK time) is from Yeovil Radar base to beautiful Cork in Southern Ireland. This is our first fly-in using VATSIM so be prepared, make sure you've signed up with VATSIM and have squawkbox installed and setup. Click here to display our fly-in details or view from the normal place.

5th July 2006
This weks fly-in on the 9th July is going to be the same as last weeks. The reason for this is becuase we are currently looking into moving our fly-ins from our FSHost server to VATSIM or IVAO to aid in our quest to be as reliable as possible. This weeks fly-in will be the last on our FSHost server. The route is identical to last week. Click here to view.

5th July 2006
Friday 4th August 2006 is switchover day from old PIREP system to new FS Flight Keeper system. On this day all flight time will be taken from the existing old database and added into the new FS Flight Keeper database. The old system will stay in place for a while but all promotions and recognition will be from information held in the new FS Flight Keeper system. THE ATUKv WEB SITE WILL BE DOWN WHILST WE MAKE THE CHANGES. Please note that we have secured a deal with Aerosoft in which members of ATUKv will be able to purchase FS Flight Keeper at a greatly reduced cost. You will be sent an e-mail containing details on the 4th Aug.

5th July 2006

10th June 2006
Due to my massive work comitments over the last few months I seem to have let our beloved virtual airline slow down (read almost stop!) So, I've decided that Thursday afternoon is ATUKV time for me. I've allocated Thursday afternoon and evening each week to updating the web site and keeping things running. My initial efforts are going to be directed towards getting the weekly flyin up and running again as soon as possible I've put a message in the forum (right at the top) asking everyone for their perference of time and day. I've suggested 19:00 Sunday evening UK time as a starting point. I would like to have out first flyin within a week and a half. Once I've got the day and time sorted out I'll start planning out first route.

I look forward to getting things up to speed again in the near future and hope to see you online with me as soon as we have a day and time.

8th Apr 2006

New flight ATW01B from Hong Kong to Heathrow added to the list. Check out my 12MB visual log of my first flight. As usual there is plenty of detail but only members can view and download all the charts etc. The menu has been amended accordingly. Hope you enjoy the new route. I'll be creating some smaller GA routes next.

Loads of changed have been made today:

C-130 review by Sergio
Click here to view. Thanks Sanchez!

Caravan Livery
Jez B has got his brushes out and created a new livery for our Cessna Caravan. Click here to view a picture.

Fleet Information page TOTALLY revamped
The fleet information page used to just list a load of make and models. Now things are totally different. Now we have a list of 'actual' aircraft that we have in our fleet including registrations, etc. The aircraft are clickable to display information on the make and model. The registration will soon be clickable which will show flights that it has been used for and total hours flown, etc. It is now imperative that when filing your PIREP that you select the correct aircraft registration! Click here to view the new page.

PIREP form updated
I have removed the old select aircraft drop down box information and replaced it with the same information used to create the Fleet Information page. I've also added the notes to the bottom box so flights can still be detailed. these boxes will be split up in the near future. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU SELECT THE CORRECT AIRCRAFT WHEN FILLING OUT YOUR PIREP so we can report on it correctly in the future!

Huge Boeing 777 added
Boeing 777 added to our fleet in all the necessary places.

Sergio pulls through with his promise of a review of Captain Sim's C-130. PMDG release their coveted Boeing 747 Cargo. Boeing 777 and 747F added to our fleet. More here.

12th Mar 2006
I finally complete the MASSIVE EGLL-VHHH route - ATW01A. This is another one of ATUKv's mamoth routes! Don't forget to download and read my visual log of this flight. ATW01A's detail page can be found from the members area or from the menu. As always, you're comments are welcome!

11th Mar 2006
In preperation for our new route we have added 2 new hubs. Welcome to our newest locations, Hong Kong International (VHHH) and London Heathrow (EGLL). Non members can click here and here to view a list of the charts available and members can download the charts (in high quality PDF format) from the Members Area >> Downloads >> Hub Information >> Hong Kong Int'l (VHHH) or London Heathrow (EGKK) once logged in.

11th Mar 2006
A new route is now available in our scheduled flights. This is the return leg of ATE01A. This flight is called ATE01B and is from the Greek Island of Kefallinia (LGKF) to London Gatwick (EGKK). Be sure to download and read the visual log of my flight.

10th Mar 2006
Cessna 206 added to level1 fleet. We've bought one passenger equipped 206 with a registration of G-P117 and one 206 equipped for carrying cargo, this one is registered as G-C118. This Cessna aircraft now has it's own information page and is entered in the fleet information page, has been added to the PIREP form and has has two entries in our tracking system. Enjoy our newest member of the level 1 fleet!

9th Mar 2006
Captain Sim's new C-130 Herc has now been added to our level 5 fleet. You'll notice in our Aircraft Tracking System that I've added both a passenger version (G-P507) and a cargo version (G-C506). Obviously this has als been added to our fleet page and to the PIREP page. Enjoy!

9th March 2006
I've made quite a few updates to ATUKv today. Most of the updates have been to enable us to continue to improve the high quality content on the site in the future in an organised way.

26th Feb 2006
New livery for the Beechcraft A36 VERSION3 from Nige. Please note, this is the same as the previous version except that it is for the A36 V3. Members can download this from the liveries page. Thanks to Nige for getting his brushes out again!

25th Feb 2006
Our new Aircraft Tracking System is now in place. This system is recommended, not mandatory!

In real life if you fly your aircraft to Leeds the next flight for that aircraft should be from Leeds! We have just implemented a new system that allows our pilots to locate their aircraft of choice and book it for their next flight. After your initial two flights you will gain access to our Aircraft Tracking System.

For more information please click here or view the Aircraft Tracking System's information page from our menu. Information Centre >> Aircraft Tracking System.

25th Feb 2006
Steve ATX0091 has created a wonderful new livery for our Pilatus PC-12 aircraft. Click here to view or visit our Members Area to download.

I have created a new page for everything to do with signatures. At the moment it just contains alink to the PSD file for the signature that I have created from the new ATUKv design. More information will be added in time. There is also a link to this page from the main menu and the Members Area.

5th Feb 2006
ATUKv is currently undergoing a new design update. It has started with a new top image including the Beechcraft Baron B58 airframe and cockpit merged together with our catchlines etc to try to tgive the feel of what we are. There is more to come next weekend. But what is to go down the left hand side to replace those (yuk) adverts? you'll just have to wait and see...

5th Feb 2006
Nigel wrote in our forum words on par with "This site is covered in advertising" which hit home and made me think somewhat. Here I am trying to get an income from Google and get better rankings etc but am also ruining the site in my attempts. The Adsence adverts have raised approx £100 in the last 2 months or so which is nice but certainly not retire money... thinking about it all in hindsight I think I've been a little (!) unfair and can do two things to try to rectify it. 1). Appologise profusely and 2). Remove the ads and create more decent content...

  1. I'm really sorry, I won't do it again, please forgive me. I'll be your best friend! (....eeeerrrr!)
  2. The advertising is being removed and the space will be filled with ATUKv content. This is a opportunity for me to have a small design refresher too so keep an eye on the site.

Best Regards
Richard Georgiou - ATX0001

25th Jan 2006
Sergio has completed Leg 4 of our Round The World Trip. He's completed the trip in the face of some poor weather and has finished it off with a well written and illustrated article. This can be found from our menu (Information Centre >> Round the World >> Leg 4) or by clicking here.

22nd Jan 2006
Time for another update. We've had two more promotions recently (click here for more) and added another review from Sergio. The reviews menu has been changed to include the individual reviews in the drop down section. Please note: The page layout for the V35 review has changed, this is to try to allow the search engines to index the page better. Hope you don't mind!

8th Jan 2006
Amazing Stories added. I've found a few stories on the internet which I thought you all may be interested in. The Gimli glider is just amazing! Check them out from the menu or click here.

8th Jan 2006
I have made more changes to the site. Minutes are now hours so be aware when requesting promotions. This is a change that has to be good for the site. It always seemed mad to me that we worked in minutes and now I've used books and help on the internet to find out how to make the amazingly difficult changes required to get the times in hours... I had to add /60 to the code..! - LOL. Obviously I've had to update the Career Structure pages into hours. This means that there are slight changes in the times when you request promotions. Please be aware of this when requesting promotions.

7th Jan 2006
Loads of updates to ATUKv:

Two New Aircraft Added
I've added both the Carenado Beechcraft Bonanza F33A and the PA-38 Tomahawk to our fleet. You can now view their spec by going to the fleet information pages and you'll see these 2 new aircraft as options when filing your PIREPs. I've not added the PA28 Warrior to the fleet as it's similar to the PA28 Archer II we already have. Any flights in the Warrior should be filed as Archer II flights.

LEG 3 Round the World
I have finally added Thomas' LEG 3 of the round the World Trip to the site. This can be viewed from the Menu (Information Centre >> Round The World >> LEG3) or click here. I will be doing a LEG 4 very soon.

From Minutes to Hours...
I have been asked in the forum why we have our flight times in minutes and not hours... Well.. eeerrrr... the answer to this is that I didn't know how to do hours!! Anyway, I've got our my old ASP book and added a /60 to the code on the home page. Now it reads as hours... I'll be looking into changing this in other places too soon.

Adverts on the site
As you have all no doubt seen (!) I have decided to add Google's Adsense to our web site. I'm hoping that it makes some money so I can afford to have Friday's updating the site. Then you really will notice some additions and changes!! So... Support our sponsors and click on any that you're interested in..

5th Jan 2006
Sergio Sanchez ATX0178 has reviewed our beloved Navajo! - To view the review please visit our reviews section from the main menu or click here.

4th Jan 2006
ATUKv need some more staff. A News Manager and some reviewers. The jobs are as follows:

News Manager/Editor
This role will involve searching aruond the internet for Flight Simulation news stories/new releases, etc. Once the stories have been found you'll need to be able to edit/rewrite them for our news pages. Ideally you'll then upload them to our server but if you're not comfortable with this then you can just e-mail them to myself. To apply click here.

Reviewers
This role involves writing reviews on pieces of payware. This can be one review of as many as you like. We currently have the grand total on ZERO REVIEWS and I'd like to improve on that a little! To apply click here.

20th Dec 2005
A new section called Amazing Aviation has been created and is now live. It contains amazing videos, photographs and audio. This section will be continuously updated and changed so keep on coming back! Find the new section on our manin menu.

18th December 2005
Our web site has had loads of updates and new staff have been employed.

The following changes have been made.

The following changes are to happen over the next week.

6th December 2005
With ATUKv getting busier all the time I'm finding it more and more dificult to keep up with the updates etc. So, what do I do? I refuse to close it down but I also want to offer a fantastic service so am asking for our members to help out by taking on some of the responsibilities of running ATUKv. I think this would also be a good time to add an area for reviews of various add-ons, etc. I'm looking for the following members of staff:

New Appointments Manager
This post will involve looking at new membership applications and deciding on whether they are genuine, if they are then their details will need to be added to our members database, they'll then need to be informed of their membership details.

Promotions Manager
This post will involve validating people's flying time and promoting people to the next level.

Reviews Editor
I would like to add a section for reviews of various add-ons. The reviews will be done by anyone but they will then be sent to the reviews editor for checking and formatting, etc. This could be a big deal for ATUKv as it will get us known by the developers and publishers so we may be able to get some good deals for our members.

News Editor
A good way of keeping people comming back to the site is to provide a latest news page that consists of all the latest and greatest happenings in the flight sumulation world. The news editor will be responsible for both finding the news and formatting news from other members and putting it on the site.

Training Manager
As we're a GA based VA it is imperative that we provide our members with training and guidance when necessary. We need someone who is knowledgable to provide various articles on training.

Events Manager
It was great when we used to have our fly-ins each week but I just don't have the time any more to arrange them. It would be great if we could have a fly-in each week or month that was properly organised and advertised to our members.

Forum Moderators
These posts are for people who can spare a little time to browse through our forums answering members questions and making sure things don't get out of hand.

PLEASE NOTE

It may sound like some of the posts above are extremely technical but all you really need is an ambition to help. the technical side of updating a web site is easy. I will take each member of staff through how things are done personally. Please send all applications to me at richard@entity7.com

5th Oct 2005
4 new liveries added. Cessna 337H, Cessna Citation X, LDS767 and PMDG747. See the liveries page for more info and to download.

24th September 2005
Two new aircraft have just been released. The Cessna 337 Skymaster by FSD is bound to be popular with FSD's reputation for accuracy and flight modelling. Obviously as this aircraft has one engine in front of the other it will make for an interesting addition to our already substantial fleet. You can read more about the 337 here. Then there's the Raytheon Beechcraft Baron 58 from Dreamfleet. This aircraft is also superb. I have been most impressed with the 2D panel in this aircraft as even the artificial horizon is 100% smooth, this makes flying in IFR conditions MUCH easier than in other aircraft. Click here for more info on the 58. I can see the 58 being our new Navajo!

Two new pages have been created for the new aircraft, the fleet information page has been updated accordingly and both aircraft have also been added to the PIREP form.

15th August 2005
Various changes have been implemented with our PIREP form. I've changed the fuel units from Imp Gal to lbs as this is what most add-ons and UK pilots use. I know this is going from volume to weight but it seems to be the standard. Let me know your thoughts on this one. I've also made the METAR and NOTES fields much bigger to fit both the departure and destination METAR's in. I've also changed the 80 passengar restriction on the PAX carried field. With the 767, MD11 and now the Jumbo 747-400 in our fleet this is a restriction that just had to be lifted!

12th August 2005
New fly-in planned for Sunday 14th August 2005. See the brief below:

OK - It's a day out in New Zealand this Sunday so make sure you're bunji jump proof pants and packed and join me for this weekends flight!

We start in the town of Wellington at the Wellington International Airport (NZWN). From there we head towards the NDB NL and climb to an altitude of 2500ft. Once at NL we continue to the TY NDB, then to the PP NDB, then to OH VOR. Once at OH VOR we need to head across the country towards the NR VOR, for this leg we need to climb to 5000ft to avoid contact with ground! Once at NR VOR we then reduce our altitude to 2500ft and head for WO NDB, then to NZGS. The runways are not that long so keep slow on finals. The airport has the GS VOR right on top of it so you can't get too lost. Click here to display more info.

ATUKv now has over 100 members. I've just added another 4 members which has bought our membership to 101.

I am still extremely busy with the extention on our house and only have one computer so can't fly at the moment but am looking forward to getting up and running again as soon as possible. One of my aims for ATUKv for us to become a VATSIM partner. I will be sending an e-mail out to ALL our members asking them to sign up to VATSIM and submit their details to me. Once we have enough active VATSIM users we'll then be able to join.

I have many plans for ATUKv to both improve on the existing contect and to introduce more content but these are going to have to wait until I get my other computer back up and running.

Can't wait to get back into the cockpit... Rich, ATX0001 :-)

In the meantime please see the new pages and screen shots (most taken by me!) by going to Information Centre >> Fleet >> Purchase

10th Mar 2005 - Cargo Division
Change of plan I'm afraid! - After creating the design for the new Cargo VA and working out a ball park figure re completion time I've decided that the only way forward is to cancel this project. I have however added various elements to the ATUKv site to incorporate a Cargo Division. I've restructured our fleet and changed some of the levels and created some new levels. The concorde has been removed due to the fact that it's certainly not GA or Cargo. I've moved the aircraft that are not GA into the Cargo sections of each level and have added a load of new aircraft including the Lago MD80, Boeing 767, Boeing 747, McDonnell douglas MD11. There are smaller aircraft for Cargo too, Take a look here for the new Level structure. The Career structure has also had to change accordingly. Click here to view the new career structure. I've also changed the text on the home and about us pages to incorporate the new Cargo division. The routes and hubs are going to have a bit of an overhaul in the coming months to include the Cargo Division. There have been various other changes about the site so browse around and take a look.

Our Piper Navajo has had a face lift and we now have our very own livery for out P180. The two new liveries have been added to our members liveries page. Both have been designed and implemented by our Jamie Burrell (Thank you!). The P180 was not a part of our fleet but has now been added to our Level 4 fleet (Turbo Prop). Click here for more information on the P180 aircraft.

CARGO
A while ago Gavin came up with the idea of adding Cargo ops to our VA which I loved. Things have been discussed in the forums and I have made a decission.

I feel that it is VITAL that ATUKv stays GA only and I also feel that Cargo is so important that we could not do it justice by adding it to our existing site. With this in mind ATUKv will stay with General Aviation only and will not have Cargo added to it. A copy of the current ATUKv web site will be taken and changed for Cargo ops. This web site will be just for Cargo and will be just as actively updated etc as our GA counterpart. Obviously this web site will have a different set of aircraft and different rules. As I'm taking the original ATUKv web site and changing it it shouldn't take too long to implement. I'd say about one month.

I have finally fixed the problem where the total flight time was showing incorrectly. I have no idea wy it took me so long to find it, it was just a formatting issue with the field. I'd set it to date & time instead of just time. If anyone should still have the problem please let me know. Thanks, Rich, ATX0001

I accepted a very kind offer by Nigel for him to host our site on one of his underused servers. This has proved VERY fast and reliable in testing and I look forward to increasing his traffic to melting point in the near future! hehe. Once again this is a very genorous offer and I'm sure I'll not be alone in thanking him. THANK YOU ! ! ! Nigel has also created full e-mail accounts for me and a number of other members.

It is advisable to go directly to the www.atukv.net URL for the time being whilst we transfer the .co.uk and .co domains over. Obviously I'll keep you all updated in the latest news section.

We have received permission from Pilot Magazine for displaying their Shoreham Airport article. I sent the following e-mail:

Hi Dave,

I am the creater of Air Taxi UK Virtual (www.atukv.co.uk). It's a non-profit Flight Simulator "virtual airline" based at Shoreham Airport. We have a thriving community of like minded virtual (and real life) pilots who are as active in our forums as they are in the air. Some of my members found the article on Shoreham Airport in your fine magazine (grovel grovel!) and I was wondering if we could be granted permission to display the article on our site in a scanned format. You'll see we already have a comprehensive amount of information on the airport and it's facilities. Obviously if you were to grant permission for this article to be included in our web site we would be willing to place a small advert on the home page for a few months. Please feel free to take a look around our site. It's free to join so if you should find yourself interested in what we do please let me know. The forums are a great place to discuss anything to do with aviation as you can see by quick visit. Thank you for such an in depth article on our local airfield. I look forward to hearing from you.

Richard Georgiou
Creator of Air Taxi UK Virtual

and received the following in return:

Dear Richard

Yes, it is OK for you to display the Shoreham Airport article on the ATUK website. We only require a credit for the magazine and a link to our website, www.pilotweb.aero
regards
Dave Calderwood, Editor-in-Chief, Pilot magazine, The Mill, Bearwalden Business Park, Wendens Ambo, Essex, CB11 4GB, UK

I have added this to out Shoreham information page. Click here to view

ATR 72-500 livery created by Jamie Burrell now online on liveries page. Thanks to Jamie for all his hard work. Jamie has been very active in ATUKV and I'd personally like to thank him for all his time and effort. A picture of the livery can be seen in our Picture Gallery under Liveries. The ATUKV fleet is having a make over!

16th Nov 2004
Picture Gallery is now online. Visit it, and upload to it, by taking Information Centre >> Pictures >> Picture Gallery. Then click on the Picture Gallery link. I've had my web space upgraded to .NET so this gallery works, I've done a lot of testing over the last 4 hours and I think everything works just like it's supposed to and I can't find ANY bugs at all... If you should, however, find any bits that now fail to wrk please do let me know. The picture gallery allows anyone to submit pictures but I do have to approve them before they will show in the gallery. I'm trying to find a way around this so they show immed but we'll have to stick with it as it is for a while... Look forward to seeing you screenshots and ugly mugs online in the very near future! Jamie, can you post the pictures of the liveries for the 441 and ATR. I could post them but I think you should as your the person who should be credited for them... I will be incorperating the Picture Gallery into my ATUKV design as soon as I can may this may take a while...Cheers and any problems please do let me know.

14th Nov 2004
Hi all, I've been a busy little bee and have created quite a few new bits and pieces. We've now got a facility to upload your pictures to a picture storage area on my site. See Information Centre >> Pictures >> Forum Pictures for more info. I've also included some instructions on how to display the uploaded pictures in your forum posts. I've also created a Liveries Page as this is an area that many of you have been working on including the star of the day Jamie Burrell! I've also been setting up a Picture Gallery Area which is going to be live around Wednesday hopefully! There are new menu options under Information Centre and Forums. If you don't see them just go to the home page and refresh your browser by pressing F5. Let me know if you should have any problems.

I've also created a tutorial for the Leeds Bradford POL1X Standard Instrument Departure (SID) which can be viewed/downloaded from the relevant page. I've added a new section in the PROCEDURES ETC forum for issues relating to the tutorial and other procedure issues. Let me know what you think in that forum thread too. If you find a mistake or wish to request a change please let me know. Please note: We are the new kids on the block at these two locations so please be professional and keep up appearences and hopefully our contract will be renewed at the end of the 6 month trial period.

13th Nov 2004
I have added the forum signature to the FORUMS page so it can be used, if so desired, when posting in this or other forums. Just right click on the picture and save it to your PC. Hopefully this will help to spread the work and get us more members.

Jamie Burrell has released the ATUKV livery for the 441. As you can see from the image below the original had ATX0021 down the side. Jamie stated in his e-mail to me that he could personalise it by changing the number. If anyone wants this done then please let Jamie know. In the meantime I've removed the 0021 so it now reads just ATX. I thank Jamie who I know has spent lots of time and effort doing this as I know will many others! I'm not too sure how we install this livery, I'll drop Jamie a line... Downlopad the ZIP file by clicking here. (Zipped to 5MB)

12th Nov 2004
I have booked Saturday off from my web design and computer fixing duties so I can add the 2 new airfields to ATUKV... Will be online by Saturday evening... I'll be putting every piece of information I can find on these two airports in here... Russell Gamon (ATX0031) recently did a test flight to our new Sheffield facilities. I think they forgave his wonky landing and allowed us to join as agreed! - Sorry Russell ! hehe

10th Nov 2004
Jamie Burrell is currently working on a livery for ATUKV, it is currently being applied to the Cessna 441. There are a few tweaks that Jamie wants to make then he will release it to us all. F1/Dreamfleet 2000 have finally released the long awaited ATR 72-500. It's a fantastic aircraft and will, I have no doubt, go down in FS history as a classic. I have been waiting for way over a year for this to be released and bought it after it had been released for under an hour! I had a feeling it would be a bit of a let down but no way, it lives up to all the hype and more. This is my new favourite aircraft and I will be putting in some serious hours in this beauty of a machine. Once I've learnt more about it and mastered the FMS I'll be arranging some on-line flights with this aircraft. Highly recommended! See www.dreamfleet2000.com or www.flight1.com for more information and to purchase. This is the best aircraft Flight1 and Dreamfleet have ever produced!

Rich fixes his boo boo...! I made another mistake and put in the Career Structure page that level3 was 1500... I still promoted people to level3 correctly at 1000... Now, once and for all, I think I've got it right! - Rich

VATSIM tutorial is now online. Thanks to Daryl Reilly for his kind permission to include it on this site. It can be found under the "Flying online" menu option >> "Information" >> at the bottom of the page. I tried to do a tutorial myself but checked the internet and found one that was way better than mine so here it is!

3rd Oct 2004
Correction made to career structure. It used to say that you had to get 500 minutes to become a Level1 pilot, this is obviously incorrect! Now the values are all correct. I've also reduced some of the higher values.

26th Sept 2004
Flight1's new Cessna 172R has been added to our Level1 fleet. This aircraft looks great and the manual (which can be downloaded from the aircraft's info page) is excellent! From the screen shots I think this aircraft is going to be a surefire winner for flight1.

19th Sept 2004
I've recently had some requests for new aircraft to be added to out fleet. I've now added the Diamond Katana, DC9 Iron Knuckles and Cessna 421C Golden Eagle. I (I think!) have also added all these aircraft to the pirep form!

26th Aug 2004
E-mail addresses are now available for atukv.co.uk, atukv.com and dehavillandcanada.com... so if you think you're the next Dash8 Captain then why not have an e-mail address to suit... These addresses are just forwards which means if someone sends an e-mail to richard@atukv.co.uk my host just forwards it to my real e-mail address... If anyone has any requests then be sure to let me know...
